Be Like Krishna
There’s a story I keep coming back to not just because it’s divine or ancient, but because it feels true, even now.
Inspired by that feeling, we’ve created a little Krishna collection for kids. Something joyful to wear, but even more so, to start conversations about who Krishna really was.
It’s the story of a little boy with a peacock feather in his hair and a flute in his hand. A boy who laughed easily, played freely, and held the wisdom of the universe behind those mischievous eyes.
That boy was Krishna.
As parents, we’re surrounded by modern-day heroes and characters with capes and gadgets, who save cities and battle aliens. But what if we told our kids there was a hero much closer to home? One who didn’t wear armor, but still carried the strength to lift a mountain on his little finger. Who didn’t hide his heart, but led with it.
Krishna was that kind of hero.
He was mischievous, yes - he stole butter, teased the village girls, and danced like the whole world was music. But his mischief was rooted in joy, in play, in love. Even as a child, he shared what he had, spread laughter, and lived fully in every moment.
And when trouble came, he didn’t turn away.
He stood in front of storms and quite literally protected the people he loved. He faced demons with a calm heart. And later, as the charioteer in a great war, he didn’t pick up a weapon. Instead, he offered something far more powerful that is wisdom of Bhagwad Geeta.
That’s what makes Krishna timeless.
He wasn’t only divine, he was deeply relatable. He teaches us that it’s okay to play, to question, to love fiercely and speak gently. That courage isn’t always about fighting. Sometimes, it’s about knowing when not to.
In a world that often tells our kids to “win,” Krishna reminds them to listen. To laugh. To give. To protect with strength, but also lead with softness.
That’s why I believe, more than ever, we need to bring Krishna’s spirit into our children’s lives not just as a story told once during Janmashtami, but as a living example. A guide. A friend. A hero they can truly grow up with.
And to make that connection easier, I designed Krishna T-shirts for kids, not just a piece of clothing, but a way to open the door to these conversations. A reminder of the hero who teaches us how to live with joy, wisdom, and courage.
Because maybe being like Krishna doesn’t mean lifting mountains, maybe it means lifting each other.
And if our children can learn that, the world becomes a much better place.
Let’s raise them to be playful, wise, kind and truly powerful.
